The PGA of America will officially relocate to Frisco, Texas!
The PGA of America has officially announced that its headquarters is relocating to Frisco, Texas. The PGA is currently based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
The Frisco City Council, Frisco Economic Development Corporation, Frisco Community Development Corporation and Frisco ISD unanimously voted on December 4, 2018 to approve a master development agreement between the PGA of America and Omni Stillwater Resort LLC.
According to The City of Frisco, the move will have an estimated public-private investment totaling more than half a billion dollars and it is slated to bring an initial 100 employees, eventually growing to 250 employees.
The PGA Headquarters in Frisco will anchor a 600-acre, mixed-use development. The agreement includes two 18-hole golf courses and a 500-room Omni Hotel and Resort with a convention center. One of the golf courses will be a championship course with a nine-hole course and a clubhouse.
The PGA’s 25-year agreement with Frisco also guarantees that at least two KPMG Women’s PGA Championships and two KitchenAid Senior Championships will be played in Frisco, among other PGA events and an understanding that Frisco will be considered for a future Ryder Cup.
According to The City of Frisco, the economic impact to Frisco will be more than $2.5 billion over 20 years.
The PGA headquarters is scheduled to be located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Panther Creek Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway. The golf courses are slated to open in the summer of 2022 and the hotel, convention center, and other facilities are currently scheduled to open soon afterwards.
