Exciting news, once of DFW’s finest Mexican Restaurants, Meso Maya is open in Plano at 4800 West Park Boulevard and it is commonly referred to as Meso Maya West Plano!
Meso Maya West Plano is here! Being a local real estate agent who serves all of DFW with special emphasis on the Plano, Frisco, Allen and McKinney areas, I normally do a good job at staying up-to-date on what going on in these areas, but once in a while, an event or new business opening slips through the cracks without me knowing and what I am referring to is the exciting opening of Meso Maya West Plano! I did not find out of Meso Maya West Plano until May 11, 2018, when I was on may way to dinner at The Capital Grille in Plano, but we made it a point to visit Meso Maya West Plano the very next day and we were not let down at all!
Upon our arrival, we were very impressed with the way Meso Maya remodeled the building that once housed Chili’s Bar and Grill; it has a rustic, upscale feel and the ambiance is very for a great authentic meal with specially crafted drinks!
I chose the brisket tacos-adobo marinated brisket, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, avocado tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, queso fresco and cilantro served on homemade soft white corn tortillas with a side of white rice, black beans and habanero sauce for your tacos. This dish was made to impress and it will satisfy the pickiest palate!
For my drink, I ordered the Serrano Berry Margarita, which is made with fresh muddled strawberries, a serrano pepper, ambhar tequila blanco, and fresh lime juice. This very unique drink had a combination of flavors and I must add that it was very delicious and refreshing!
We hadn’t planned on dessert, but Fernando, the general manager, who was very kind to us, offered us a complimentary dessert and coffee; Fernando recommended the Patel De Chocolate, which is a very moist Oaxacan dark chocolate cake with fresh corn ice cream and warm chocolate rum sauce; this dessert was absolutely amazing and it is worth noting again that the chocolate is from the Mexican State of Oaxaca-premium chocolate!
The coffee is well worth mentioning as well, it is not just your regular everyday coffee; this is gourmet coffee served with a small jar of milk and a bowl of sugar cane mixed with cinnamon, very delicious!
Overall, my rating for Meso Maya West Plano is 5 Stars out of 5 Stars! Highly Recommended!!!
